Sacrament of Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is available to anyone who is in year 8 of secondary school, is aged at least eleven at the time of preparation, and has already received the Sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion. Prepared candidates go to Portsmouth to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation from Bishop Philip in St John Cathedral, normally with two other Reading parishes.
Confirmation Classes in the parish take place every two years.

Confirmation 2025-26 is open to all young baptised Catholics who will be in Year 8 or above as of September 2025. If you are interested, please email or write to Father Stan at the church office. Further details about the programme will be provided in due course.
