EASTER MESSAGE 2025 From Cry to Freedom: The Hidden Power of Pesach and Tsa’aq. (Our Lady of Peace)
This Easter 2025, Father Stan reminds us that the Resurrection is not just a moment of glory, but the answer to a cry — the ancient tsa’aq of a people in bondage.
In the Book of Exodus, the Israelites cry out (tsa’aq) under the weight of slavery. God hears them. His response is Pesach — the passing over, the sparing, the beginning of deliverance.
Tsa’aq is the cry. Pesach is the answer.
And Easter is the fulfilment of that ancient pattern — not just a feast of light, but the triumph of mercy over misery.
In Jesus Christ, the cry of humanity is finally heard. And through the Cross and Resurrection, we are passed over — not forgotten, but set free.
This short message connects the cry of God’s people with the liberating power of Easter. (Though there is no separate word-study video at the moment, but one may follow). The meanings of Pesach and Tsa’aq are held at the heart of this reflection.
He has heard us. He has passed over us. He has raised us.
